Mr. Guidry

I got into theatre in 1992 at a children's theatre summer camp called Kids-N-Co, which I attended mostly to get out of chores. It took about a week to become a second home. Somewhere past 120 plays later, I teach drama to every student at Ravenswood Elementary, PreK through 8th grade, in a black box theatre in Chicago.

I teach through games and projects because that's how the craft actually transfers. Students run light boards, write scripts, build puppets, and design sets. Joy is on the lesson plan, not a side effect of it.

I also mentor new teachers coming into the district through the CPS Residency Program.
